Sophie Baillon from a leading French organisation working on the Financial Transactions Tax (FTT) and HIV/AIDS writes on #WorldAIDSDay.

Every month 10,000 people die from AIDS. But we can beat it.

The UN have set themselves a goal – by 2030 we will have beaten the epidemic.

We need an extra $7bn / year to reach that target. This might seem like a lot but it’s more feasible that we think.

Right now 10 countries in Europe are set to introduce an FTT which could easily bridge that funding gap.

Will they ensure that money goes to ending HIV/AIDS?
